The draw for the third round of the CIS Cup was made at the Football Museum at Hampden Park on Tuesday afternoon. The seeded draw has handed us a home tie against First Division opponents Inverness CT. We last faced them in this competition in 2004 on our way to the final. We won 3-1 away.
Since our impressive run earlier this decade when we reached a final, semi final and two quarters, we faltered last season when Accies beat us in round three at Fir Park After extra time. Motherwell have won the League Cup only once, in 1950 , when Hibs' Famous Five were humbled 3-0. It must be time for a repeat?
