Craigan Will Be Giving Me Pelters - Butcher

First up was Faddy. He made the starting eleven only as a result of Quashie’s injury but it did not take him long to get involved in the game. His perfectly weighted back post header, from a Ferguson cross, set up Miller for Scotland’s first goal. He then got booked after a petulant tussle. After seventy two minutes he was replaced by Beattie but given McFadden’s lack of first team action in recent months he can be well pleased with his contribution.

Scotland line up in Norway

Before the Scotland game finished our centre half from last season lined up with his Welsh colleagues against Poland. The visitors lost to a second half penalty.

Partridge’s partner for much of last season was Steven Craigan. He and ex-Well man Elliott faced England at Windsor Park with the Terry Butcher taking good note of Craigan’s performance from the Radio 5 Live gantry. “Craigan will be giving me pelters back in Motherwell tomorrow”. Our man played an important part in their impressive humbling of Terry's team. Let's hope he carries the form on to Saturday in Inverness.
