Four Games to Go

Last updated : 26 April 2004 By Firparkcorner

Four fixtures remain with nothing at stake but pride. Our faint hopes of finishing fourth all but disappeared but players have contacts to win and bonus money to collect so we need to hope that the entertainment on offer lives up to that provided for the rest of the season.

Not many will travel to Ibrox on Saturday – the notion of paying £19 (with no concessions) will do little to encourage families to sample the delights of Govan.

But we have Dundee United at Fir Park next week, the last Saturday home game, with every prospect of a decent crowd (at a fiver for adults and a pound for kids). A win will be vital to ensure we keep fifth spot. The cheap entry applies to the visiting support too, so there is every prospect of a decent tangerine appearance.

Celtic, complete with their young player of the year, visit on the following Wednesday, before we close the season at Tynecastle.

Regardless of the upcoming results we must be delighted with the season - let’s thank the team by turning out in numbers for the remaining games.
