Preview: Falkirk (h)

If the only outcome from the European adventure is an increased desire to participate next season then we have the perfect opportunity to move in that direction by defeating Falkirk.

John Hughes was at the game against Nancy on Thursday and he has warned his team that they might face a backlash following our exit from the Uefa Cup. Let's hope he's correct.

It is no slight to the Bairns to suggest that they do not carry anything like the threat we faced on Thursday. Latapy and Riera are now available for our opponents but it is reported that Holden and Finnigan are still on the sick list.

The only doubt from the Fir Park regulars is Craigan who has been struggling with a groin strain for the last week or two. He was replaced in the closing stages against Nancy.

Despite out third place in last season's campaign we managed to take only one point from the three meetings with Falkirk. Their last visit to Motherwell came last December when three second half goals ended our impressive five game winning run.

Our opponents are one place above us in the table by virtue of goal difference - that will not be the case after the final whistle after a 2-0 home win.

Remember the last time Falkirk visited?
