Waiting for the Great leap Forward

Last updated : 09 March 2006 By Chistopher Hutton

A full-strength team of eleven contributors air their views this time around, with a debut from January transfer-window signing Gil (who's a laydee doncha know!) sharing her recollections of the season thus far. At the other end of the spectrum, ever-present Graham Barnstaple waxes lyrical on subjects ranging from Ref's to American Football, whilst John Creighton comments on the goings-on down M.F.C. way during the first few weeks of 2006.

Geoff Baby shares his fears of potential future bans being implemented to a Stand near you as well as testing your recollections of a not-so-dearly departed manager (and actually no, this one doesn't have ginger hair......). Calum Stewart ponders whether Richie will ever be given the chance to prove himself as a 20-a-season striker, whilst Top Ten Ted's dream team moves on to it's first central defender.

Derek Wilson is philosophical about our Semi-Final defeat, Gavin McCafferty reviews season 2005/06 to date, Kenny Angove despairs at the poor use of language in footballing circles, Ricky has his usual Rant and yours truly ponders whether or not those in Claret and Amber really are cursed with plain old bad luck.

In keeping with the days theme, whilst the GLF accountant can't allow us to be as much of a philanthropist as John Boyle, we pledge to donate a percentage of any profit made on Saturday to the deserving Maggie's Day fund. So, despite the lack of a free raffle number for a car in our publication, please keep an eye out for Andy, Calum, Ricky and myself around the ground between two and three o'clock to get your hands on your copy of Waiting For The Great Leap Forward.
