Prediction v Dunfermline (a)

Hopefully the break from league action will have helped refresh all the players and have them ready for the final push for points that will guarantee safety at the end of the season making the result of the 1st Division title race irrelevant. Let’s hope the players can focus on the only result that matters on Saturday and forget about who is doing what in the other games. We still have our fate in our own hands and we have to grab the opportunity to pull ourselves away from twelfth place while it still presents itself.

There seems to be no injury worries although I am unsure of the news on Hammell. Only Pearson is a definite non starter due to suspension. Dunfermline after a bright start to the season have struggled in the league recently and are now finding it difficult to win at home. Lets hope the trend continues on Saturday. Hopefully with not too much to play for in the league their minds will be fully on the forthcoming date with Rangers in the cup a tie that will decide our semi final opponents.

By the time I am in my seat at Hampden on the nineteenth I would like to have at least another four points in the bag from our two games against the Pars and Dundee so a draw is the minimum we need from Saturday’s game and I think that is exactly what we will get.

Dunfermline 1 - 1 Motherwell
