The manager was spot on when he said after the game in Perth, "We were fortunate, a draw would have been a fairer result". Still, the players got the reward for pushing forward late in the game and refusing to settle for an away point.

A late tap in from John Sutton gave Motherwell a late win in a close match at McDiarmid Park. Murphy's early goal and Milne's equaliser had the teams level at the break but our number nine stole the points five minutes from time.
