Internazioswally v FirParkCorner FC Preview

Last updated : 30 September 2005 By Speedie

Gardiner returns
Internazioswally are the opponents for the fifth league match of the season. Airdrie sit well down the table but have only played one match in which they achieved a 3-3 draw. The last time the sides met was last August when Inter won 5-3 in FPC’s first match of last season’s disastrous campaign. Fir Park Corner manager David Fraser was sent off that day after he handled on the line.
With ten men, the Corner folded after holding their own in the early stages.

Last weekend saw the Corner lose to Erin Hibs 4-2 with FPC only turning up for the last twenty minutes of the match. Fraser will have to reshuffle the pack; he is also likely to move away from the 3-5-2 formation which hoisted the team to the top of the IFA National League.

Graeme Ramage missed out after failing a late fitness test and was sorely missed as the FPC defence crumbled. John Hendry misses out alongside his brother David. But there are returns for Mark Gardiner and David Wyper. Scott Mullen, Darryn Alexander and Joe Smith are all unavailable but Ross Clark and Craig Pettigrew may return to further bolster the forward line.
