Kaisayr Report

Last updated : 27 July 2003 By Firparkcorner

FPC almost made a perfect start in the opening minute but Dave couldn’t quite latch onto the through ball and Mitch lobbed the rebound just over the bar. The first half was actually fairly evenly balanced but FPC made three hideous mistakes at the back and Kaisayr capitalised on all of these to wrap the game up. Firstly, a rushed clearance was charged down outside the box and a Kaisayr forward thumped the ball past Farmer at his bottom right hand corner.

If this blow wasn’t bad enough, another needless giveaway deep in FPC territory was punished when another twenty yarder found the back of the net. This one took a slight deflection off John on the way, Farmer may have saved the original shot.

The game was done and dusted shortly before the break when the FPC defence allowed a Kaisayr striker a free header from six yards. Considering the striker was well over six feet tall and had previously won everything in the air, giving him that much space could be considered a bit of a blunder.

FPC had possibly their best (or more accurately ‘least worst’) spell at the start of the second half. However, despite having more of the possession at this point, few chances were created against an organised defence.

A wonderful passing move by Kaisayr was capped off by a calm finish to make it 4-0 and the FPC heads went down. A fifth was added before Scott R thumped home a twenty yard half volley as a consolation. Sadly the scoring was not finished there and the final act was carried out by the Kaisayr left back who rattled a shot into the top corner from just outside the box.

All in all, a rotten morning.

However - cheer ourself up by having a look at the pictures from Worldnet 2003.
