Motherwell
are away to Dundee United on Saturday hoping to build on the success of last
weekend.
The teams
last met in September and it led to a significant run for both. For Motherwell the 3-0 win at Fir Park was
followed by seven games without a win. Dundee United embarked on a six game
unbeaten journey that will end if the Steelmen can repeat the September
victory.
The
visitors will travel backed by that long awaited win and by the significant
reduction of the injury list. Oscar
Priestman, Calum Hendry and club captain Paul McGinn joined Regan Charles-Cook
to give Alfred Johansson access to the full range of talent in his squad.
United are
currently in sixth place thanks to their recent good form. Much praise has been given to the
contribution of the midfield trio of Zidane Iqbal Dylan Tait, and Lyall Cameron. The battle between them and Priestman,
Ibrahim Said amd Lukas Fadinger will be key to the result.
Zac
Sapsford scored against Aberdeen and Celtic in their last two matches but he
and his team-mates had last weekend off as their meeting with Hearts was
postponed.
The other
scorer against Celtic was Neil Farrugia but his groin strain will put him on
the sidelines along with Emmanuel Agyei and Will Ferry.
Ryan Lee
will be in charge as the game kicks off at 3pm and by 5pm ‘Well fans could be
homeward bound with a point after a 1-1.
