Aberdeen - 24h on

We'll get over Sunday's disappointment soon enough and, as is the custom, concentrate of the league.

We can be thankful that we have a big prize still in our sights.  For others a cup exit snuffles out any hope of a successful season but the prospect of the runners up spot remains a realistic goal for the Fir Park faithful and that will be our driving force when the team face Aberdeen on Saturday.

Following our recent fine record against the Dons there is no reason not to regard the cup loss as a blip.  Losing to them once was careless but to lose to them twice inside a week would cause alarm.

Their style of football is an affront to followers of the beautiful game but Craig Brown knows how to play to their strengths.  We have a week to come up with a counter.  That will be hindered by the suspension of Hutchinson and Clancy.  Craigan will return if his ankle can take the strain and Page might be his partner....or maybe Higdon might transform into a defender!

The Well Society has just over a fortnight to reach its initial goal of £250,000.  The Sign-Up night last week seems to have generated a boost to the membership list but it is now time to reach out to those who were standing on the sidelines and bring them into the fold.
