Aberdeen Preview

Last time at Pittodrie
Under normal circumstances the claret and amber faithful would be in confident mood against the Dons but given the limited size of the squad available to Terry Butcher after injury and suspension have taken their toll, there will be more hope than expectation in the Fir Park stands.

The list of the missing is considerable. McBride (knee), Fitzpatrick (dead leg), Britton (calf), Paterson (back), O’Donnell (ankle) and Clarkson (suspended) will be absent. McDonald is likely to be on the bench according to the manager’s midweek press briefing and Kerr, though available, is still regaining peak fitness.

Marshall
will be free of his suspension but given Corr’s respectable showing against Kilmarnock, a tricky decision may lie ahead. But what of the attack? Foran may be given a start alongside Hamilton and this would give us a considerable aerial threat.

What are our chances with this line up?

Marshall

Quinn, Craigan, Partridge, Hammell

Corrigan, Kerr, Leitch, Fagan

Foran, Hamilton

It’s hardly our best eleven yet it should be fairly strong in defence. Aberdeen will be looking for payback after our recent 3-1 win at Pittodrie but they have yet to score in Motherwell this season and with any luck we will keep another clean sheet on Saturday.

Can we find the net? It will not be easy with so many attack minded players missing so we’ll forecast the second 0-0 draw between the teams.
