Back to Work

The start of July signals the beginning of the pre-season training period. There are a few changes awaiting the squad on their return; a new playing surface and a few empty pegs in the dressing room.

Has he spotted any talent in Portugal?
The revolving door has a few more turns to make as we still look to replace the players who choose to move on. Richie Foran will meet his new colleagues and there is every possibility that Jim Paterson may join up by the end of the week.

Terry Butcher will miss the first week or so as he fulfills his duties with the BBC in Portugal. It's unlikely that any of the players he is watching at the moment will appear in claret and amber but we hope that his phone has been busy as the search for new faces continues.

The first public game on the schedule is on July 17 when we visit Stirling Albion. Fans will get a look at the new, improved playing surface on Sunday July 25 when the club holds the annual Open Day. The new home strip is scheduled to be on sale and all the usual tours, photo opportunities, competitions and stalls will be rolled out.
