Boyle Back?

The board of directors will meet later today (according to Hugh Keevins, writing in the Record) to discuss the proposals which involve Boyle taking control of the club while Fir Park is run by Stadium Management Limited – who already are involved with Dunfermline and teams down south.

Guess who's back in charge?
Stadium Management Ltd would be able to hire out Fir Park’s bars and conference facilities throughout the week and the club would pay £5000 to hire the ground for every home match. This would no doubt cause controversy with the SPL rules about owning your own ground but the club will point to the precedent of Hibs entering the league when Tom Farmer owned Easter Road.

If John Boyle does resume control, he will face a barrage of criticism from both the fans and the players he made redundant nearly a year ago. However, while we are not in any danger of going bust, we cannot stay in administration forever and John Boyle appears to be the only option.

Of course, whether the newspaper and the reporter can be trusted is another matter. It does seem to be a plausible story though and Motherwell fans will be watching the news tonight with a great deal of interest.
