Brian Kerr Back in Action

After seven months out he would have been delighted to pull on the claret and amber colours once more and he had quite a successful return.

Brian 'Lives the Dream'.

There were few, if any, lung bursting runs but he looked composed playing a holding role in the middle of the park. Whilst there was the occasional stray pass, for the most part he kept possession well and there were a few times when his class shone through.

Indeed, Kerr played a part in the opening goal, squeezing a cute pass to Fitzpatrick who, in turn, fed Clarkson. DC’s cross was met at the far post by Foran who headed across the keeper and into the net.

Ochilview!

The game was made safe in the second half when Clarkson stroked home the rebound after Foran’s free kick struck the post. Clarkson himself won the kick when he ran clear only to be pulled down by Ross Gardner who was duly sent off for his trouble.

Brian Kerr trotted off after a solid seventy minutes to be replaced by John Paul Grant. The substitute almost capped a fine passing move but was denied by McLean in the United goal.

Clarkson added a third with ten minutes remaining.

It was a good day for Kerr who may have earned himself a place on the bench on Saturday.
