Butcher to have a go at Rangers

Let's hope he's smiling on Saturday evening!
Speaking in the Wishaw Press, Terry explains that everyone is keen to get back to SPL action after the break caused by the recent international fixtures.

It looks like Pearson and Leitch will be available after their recent injuries and given the enforced absence of James McFadden there is no doubt that their presence will be a vital factor in our match planning.

Butcher is quoted, “All the players are really looking forward to the game as it’s such a big one when you play Rangers at Ibrox.

I want them to go out there and enjoy the atmosphere, but they’ve got to realise they’re going to have to work hard to get anything from the game.

However, we’ll go and have a go at Rangers because we like to play attacking football and that’s the way I want us to play.

Rangers are the top team in Scotland just now, but we have already beaten Celtic already this season and they were top of the league, so we have proved we can do it.”

This will be Terry’s first trip to Ibrox as a manager. But he was with Dundee United when they beat Rangers in March 2001 and the thrill of that win will be one he tries to experience again.

“I’ve been to Ibrox before with Dundee Utd and we managed to win, although it’s just your luck on what happens on the day”, he said.

Have a look at our record against Rangers.
