Adams misses a penalty!
It seems unlikely that we will take anything from the match. Steven Craig has signed for Aberdeen and there are strong rumours that Derek Adams is about to join him in the North East. The Dons are also reportedly interested in Keith Lasley and we can only hope that we somehow manage to retain his services. The two who are soon to depart should not be in the side for Wednesday – if they do not want to be here, we should not play them.

This leaves us with a couple of selection problems, particularly if Lasley is on his way. An interesting change could involve moving Hammell to midfield and giving young Marc Fitzpatrick a start at left back. Kenny Wright will surely come into the side either on the right wing or up front and our substitutes’ bench may be even younger than usual!

Celtic have been stuttering recently given their own recent standards. They have drawn with us and Hearts twice whilst suffering home defeats to Aberdeen and Dunfermline. Against Rangers at the weekend they looked far from convincing. They will be looking to regain some momentum just a couple of weeks away from the cup final and we will need to play very well to avoid a tanking.

It’s the last home game of the season and it would be nice to cheer the team off to their holidays with a positive result but it just doesn’t look likely. We’ll fight hard but come up short in a 2-0 loss.
