Dundee Preview

Times have been relatively good at Dens Park in recent times. Despite the hammer blow which administration dealt to their squad the team’s performance in January was enough to see Jim Duffy presented with the manager of the month award.

This is the third meeting of the season with the Dark Blues with both previous games going the way of the away team. Surely that pattern has to end under the floodlights on Wednesday?

It seems that no significant injuries were collected in Saturday’s fourth round cup game and the betting has to be on an unchanged starting line up. The dearth of goals in recent game ended against the Doonhamers with the ball hitting the opposition net three times. In particular, there was much relief evident when Toastie broke his duck. His hands raised in thanks as he celebrated spoke volumes. Let’s hope that he can add to his tally on Wednesday.

The only significant absentee from Dundee is Lee Wilkie though it is reported that Sancho and Smith could be doubtful.

Both sides would probably settle for a point in this encounter and a high scoring draw could be entertaining, 2-2.
