Dundee Preview

Last updated : 10 May 2002 By FirParkCorner
Our last game of the season is on Sunday when Dundee visit Fir Park. Again, the result of the match isn't too important but it is essential that a good crowd comes out to support the team.

This is our first competitive game at home since going into administration. The depleted team worked hard against Chievo and a repeat performance will go down well on Sunday. However, it was one thing getting a draw in a friendly but Dundee will be a different proposition. They have had a disappointing season but there is no doubt that they have some good players. It is rumoured that those players could be on their way and they'll want to leave with a bang.

Our team will be very similar to the eleven who started against Cheivo. Our defence will be further weakened by the absence of Martyn Corrigan. He is suspended and this will leave a gigantic hole in our back four. Brian Dempsie is out with a chipped ankle so we might see Dirk Lehmann make another appearance at the back.

We scored!
Will we be celebrating this Sunday?
The midfield will consist of Lasley, Pearson, Adams and one other. Jamie McFadden might be pushed into attack alongside Stuart Elliott, allowing Shaun Fagan a chance to start. Alternatively, McFadden could stay in midfield whilst Davie Clarkson partners Stuarty.

The chances of winning this game look remote but if we battle hard, there's always the possibility that Dundee just won't fancy it. They didn't show up for the last game at Fir Park and left with a 4-2 defeat. Could we be in for a repeat? Probably not - we'll lose 1-3.
