Dunfermline Preview

Del and Dave looking Silly
This visit will be the first under the leadership of Butcher and McCart and the Pars can expect that the team’s attitude and commitment will be on a different level to that displayed on last season’s trips to Dunfermline.

Reports suggest that injuries to Pearson and Leitch are likely to prevent them making the squad. If true then we have a problem. Last week’s midfield of Corrigan, Fagan, Adams and Lasley put on a heroic show for the first forty five minutes but the lack of depth in the squad was highlighted when it became clear the game was slipping away. We were unable to call up suitable reserves to stem the maroon tide that eventually swamped us.

Nevertheless it is clear that the team spirit remains high and that we continue to perform well above the level which many commentators expected.

'Well fans in good voice at East End Park
We are currently in mid table two places below the Pars. They have recorded four wins and three losses so far this campaign. Their impressive start owes much to the Crawford/Brewster partnership up front and they will provide plenty of threat for our defence to handle.

Daniel Sengewald will make his third first team outing on Saturday but he is familiar with East End Park already. He played there earlier this season for the U21 team and managed to get two goals. Maybe that’s a good omen.

Dunfermline have yet to share the points in any SPL game this season but the FPC forecast is that they will lose their high rating in the ‘draw dodgers’ table.

Stick your cash on a 1-1 draw.
