Fans to meet John Boyle
Updated Thursday, 4th September 2003
The Motherwell Supporters' Trust is to hold a meeting of members in a couple of weeks. John Boyle will be present and given the recent dramatic transfer activity there should be a healthy audience to ask questions of the club chairman.
The meeting, called for Tuesday 16 September in the Centenary Suite at
John will discuss the current state of affairs at the club and members will have an opportunity both to express their views and to put points to him. No doubt the issue of the club’s financial predicament will figure large in the debate. Supporters will also be keen to discover what plans exist for the transfer fee received from Everton.
Guest number two, Stuart Duncan, will be able to give an insight to the spectacular fund raising success of the Morton Trust. Members have to give some thought to appropriate money raising schemes so that the Trust is in a position to acquire shares in the club when they become available. The Trust will also need funds to pursue other community and club objectives.
The meeting is for Trust members. Fans who have not yet joined will be able to attend by completing a membership form at the door (and paying their ten pounds fee!). The meeting is scheduled to start at 7.30 but the doors will be open well before that time.
