GLF - Fifty Not Out on Saturday

Last updated : 20 November 2003 By GLF

It's celebration time at GLF Towers as we reach our fiftieth issue in style this Saturday when a bumper 64-pager will be on sale - and it's good to see the team acknowledging our achievement in the form of also going into nostalgic retro mode by winning a few games away from home and keeping clean sheets into the bargain!

This was issue 49

We've mixed in some classic Must Moans, Kid Kirks and Great Haircuts from the late eighties/early nineties alongside our more up-to-date observations of the season to date thanks to a massive contributor list of fourteen correspondents!

Both Kris Jack and Top Ten Ted reminisce about the artist formerly known as " Motherwell's James McFadden ", with Graham Barnstaple also looking back over "The Boyle Years".

Geoff Baby goes all Chris Tarrant on us in the form of his 'Well Quiz, whilst our overseas correspondent Derek Wilson brings us up to speed on his supporting of the 'Well from Stockholm this season (while we're on our greatest away run for donkeys - coincidence??? I don't think so!!).

So as if getting back to Fir Park after the last few glorious weeks on the road isn't reason enough to look forward to this weekend, make sure you get there early to ensure you get your hands on your landmark Waiting For The Great Leap Forward - it's the number one bargain this Christmas!!!!!!
