Hibs - 24h on

Nicky Law's fine chested volley not only salvaged a point but it should earn a place in any DVD of the season's highlights.  It was a fitting reward for a decent second half performance and, as a bonus, it came in front of the 433 who made the trip from Lanarkshire.

Law_kick_offLaw gets the game underway

There's no doubt that we suffered due to the loss of Hammell and Jennings but both Page and Carswell will have gained more valuable first team exposure.  The only way to bring on our younger players is to give them game time.

Unfortunately it will be Lasley's turn (again!) to sit on the sidelines for our next match.  He has a one match ban to serve and we'll have to face Celtic without him.  With any luck we'll get to the end of the season without further first team regulars being suspended.

Now that 33 games of the season are completed it's appropriate to look back with some satisfaction at the way the team has progressed under McCall's leadership.  Back in July few would have predicted that we would be entering the post-split fixtures with a five point cushion in third place.

Apart from the sadly routine defeats from the Glasgow teams we have come out on top against every team but Kilmarnock and so can rightly claim to be 'best of the rest'.
