Hibs at Home

The last two meetings between the teams resulted in score draws but it has been over two years since we took three points in an encounter with Hibs. Our success during the last two seasons saw an end to several 'bogey team' patterns but we seem to find it difficult of overcome the team from Leith.

We've found a keeper
They beat Ayr midweek in the CIS cup and will be buoyed by the return of Riordan. He scored a pair and was well supported by their new discovery, Sproule. Our back line will do well to keep them in check.

Motherwell's cup win over St Mirren was not without cost as Quinn was added to our growing injury list. On a positive note McLean, his replacement, has made three substitute appearances and is now the recipient of three win bonuses. He is improving with every game and may be in line for a debut start this weekend.

It is to be hoped that the back room staff can work some wonders with the magic sponge. If they can deliver Hamilton and O'Donnell to the starting eleven there will be a boost in confidence. Otherwise it will be up to the young guns to carry the cause.

The laky back door seems to have been repaired and we have conceded only four goals in the last five starts. We seem to have unearthed a keeper with some potential. Smith is fleet of foot, happy to yell at his colleagues, a good shot stopper and blocker as required.

With a bit of luck we should keep our unbeaten run intact bit its hard to predict a win – we’ll be satisfied with a 1-1 draw.
