A touch of class in Govan

The record of the Mighty ‘Well in Govan has been none too good lately. Come to think of it, it has been appalling. Take a look at this horror show.

We have to trawl back to 1997 when an Owen Coyle double on the second last day of the season saw a ‘Well triumph. Those points (and the draw in the last game against Dunfermline – remember the free kick from Van der Gaag?) helped us avoid a play-off against Airdrie to retain our Premier League status.

Prices were cheaper then too. But those who witnessed the 2-1 win over Celtic earlier this season will remember all too well the wonderful feeling of elation that comes from beating one of the Old Firm.

Tickets (£19) are on sale at the Chapman Building this week. Just think how you will feel if we pull off a shock and you miss it!

Come on ye ‘Well.
