Inverness on Saturday

There have only been three league fixtures between the teams; one at Fir Park and two when we were on the road. We have met once in each of the cup competitions since the turn of the century..

The most recent meeting was at the Caledonian Stadium in April this year (match report) when we lost 1-0 as we attempted to jump the hurdle into the top six. Marshall managed to get a red card and the few hundred hardy souls who made the trip had a late, late night as the game was a 7.45pm kick off on a Tuesday.

Earlier in season 2004-5 we lost a late goal and managed only a 1-1 draw on a sunny Sunday in Aberdeen. (match report) ICT were playing their home fixtures at Pittodrie and the cheers of around 1100 fans echoed around the stadium. Partridge made his debut and Skippy got our goal.

We managed to lose the only league encounter at Fir Park (match report). On this occasion Clarkson managed to get dismissed but at least he did find the net.

The cup encounters resulted in a win for each team. ICT beat us with the help of a Wilson wonder goal at Fir Park in the quarter final of the Scottish Cup in 2003-4 (match report) and we replied with an emphatic 3-1 win at the Caledonian Stadium last season in a League Cup run which took us all the way to Hampden (match report).
