Steve Jennings has started a week's trial with Coventry City. While he was unattached hope remained that he might choose to return to Fir Park but now all we can do is thank him for his service.
Jenno was Jim Gannon’s first signing and he joined us in July 2009 initially on a one year deal. He played in the 8-1 horsing of Flamutari and soon established a midfield partnership with Keith Lasley.

The reliance that the team had on his presence was highlighted last season when the we suffered a series of poor results. His number 8 shirt was sidelined at that time as he recovered from an injury.
Despite the offer of a fresh contract Jennings let it be known that his preference was to play his football south of the border and he is likely to play for Coventry City against Hinkley United on Saturday. He’ll be an important player for the Sky Blues as they try to bounce back to the Championship and he leaves Fir Park with the best wishes of Motherwell fans.
