We'll join the competition as latecomers with the other teams that had European commitments when the formalities take place at Hamilton's New Douglas Park at 2pm. This stage is seeded and Motherwell will be in that group along Celtic, Dundee United, Hearts, St Johnstone, Inverness, St Mirren and Aberdeen.
We'll face one of Raith Rovers, Queen of the South, Livingston, Stenhousemuir, Hamilton, Dunfermline, Queen's Park and Rangers. Season tickets will be valid if we have a home draw and the tie will take place on Tuesday 25th or Wednesday 26th September.
In recent years this competition has seen us visit Clyde, Brechin, Raith Rovers and Queen's Park and we last reached the final in season 2004/5.
