Live The Dream From Tomorrow

No, it’s not cup final tickets although these items seem to be in similar demand. Thursday March 3rd sees the launch of the ‘Live The Dream’ wristbands. These wristbands have become cool and trendy and I suppose it’s no surprise that we are cashing in. Thankfully all the proceeds are going to a very good cause – our youth development programme.

Terry will have his (but will he pay for it!?!)
After the pain of administration our youth system has not only kept us going but has already brought us success. A top six finish last season was exceptional but this season we can still finish in the top half but we’re also in the League Cup Final. Stevie Hammell, Paul Quinn, Phil O’Donnell, Marc Fitzpatrick and David Clarkson have all featured heavily in our run to Hampden and they all came through the Motherwell youth system. The last time we won a trophy in 1991, the cup final thirteen contained no fewer than five of our home grown players. There is no doubt that what is good for our youth system is good for Motherwell as a whole.

There are around 20,000 of the bands – claret and amber marble effect with ‘Live The Dream’ on them – for sale at the super price of £1 each. Buy one for yourself, wife, children, pet, neighbour and support the future of Motherwell.

The ‘Live The Dream’ motto also ties in nicely with the coming cup final. All of the management and players will be wearing the bands in the run up to the final and are encouraging fans to show their support by wearing them to the big game.

The bands are available from the usual outlets from tomorrow (Thursday 3rd) morning.
