Livingston Preview

Kevin McBride made his comeback to the first team last week and as yet there is no word of him having a bad reaction to action. Scott Leitch and David Clarkson could well miss out though with both picking up injuries at Tannadice. Clarkson has no chance after going over an ankle, whilst Leitch may have recovered after a concussion.

A nice goal from our last FP win v Livi
Phil O’Donnell should be fit to take the place of Captain Leitch in the middle of the park and we will be hoping that Scott McDonald is ready to make a comeback instead of Clarkson. Skippy has missed several games with a back problem but is still our joint top scorer with seven goals.

We have won our last four league games and we are now comfortably in the top six. However, we cannot ease up and with two home games in a row approaching, we have a great chance to all but cement our place before Christmas. The last home game against Dunfermline was decidedly edgy with both the fans and the players seeming nervous. Livingston may be well below us in the league but they have received a boost by changing their manager and will be a difficult prospect. Burton O’Brien seems to be on the top of his game just now and in Jim Hamilton they possess a striker who has an annoying tendency to score against us.

Motherwell has a habit of blowing things when opportunity is staring them in the face. We may be setting ourselves up for a fall here but how can you not back us on current form? 2-1 ‘Well.
