Livingston Preview

The postponement of the Aberdeen game means that David Partridge will join James McFadden in sitting out through suspension. With Scott Leitch and Dirk Lehmann looking doubtful, we could be missing four first team regulars. Stephen Pearson played at Ibrox but he hasn’t looked fully fit since the end of September. At the start of the season we worried about our squad when injuries and suspensions struck – we’re about to find out.

The Senge returns...
We were beaten 3-2 at Livingston on the opening day of the season and most people felt we were hard done by. On that day, as ever, it was our defending that let us down. We have thrown away numerous silly points by gifting goals and the enforced recall of Sengewald might give us a different dimension at the back. Regardless of the way individuals have been playing, collectively our defence just hasn’t been good enough.

Livingston, like us, have two league wins this season. They have been on a downward spiral for months but they might have started the upward journey with a sensational win at Tannadice. Reports suggest that they only played well for ten minutes in Dundee but that was enough to rattle in three goals.

Livingston were a good side last year but as predicted by many, they are back in the pack. Despite our missing players, we must still be confident of being able to take something. If McFadden is out, it gives Ian Russell a chance to impress. No Leitch might allow Kevin McDonald back in. Who knows, maybe Khaled Kemas will become an instant hero?

It will be tough but if we get behind the team, we can do it. Unfortunately, the defence will let us down again and Livingston will steal it 1-2.
