Lookback at Hearts

In his post match comments Terry Butcher said "I asked for a reaction after Tuesday night and got one from the players today. I'm happy in some respects particularly as we didn't start too well but a lot of players are disappointed at only gaining a point.”

"We had excellent belief against a team currently in the Uefa Cup and in the top three and I'm delighted at the way we went about it today.”

Posters on the messageboard have made special mention of the great contributions from Partridge, Craigan, Adams and Leitch. Marshall received mixed reviews!

Probably the most significant outcome is that morale has been restored after the blunder at Forfar. We have avoided back to back SPL losses and taken something from the team in third place. The squad now know that there is life after Faddy.

Other results were not unkind. Aberdeen continued their downward spiral and Dundee United managed only a point against Kilmarnock. Although the next game is only the eighth in this season’s campaign three points at Tannadice would see us firmly placed in mid table and well clear of the bottom.

Onward and upward!
