There was a feeling of satisfaction at a job well done as the home crowd left Fir Park on Saturday afternoon. Apart from the usual grumbles about the referee most were happy to take a point against a Hearts side which had been in good form.
In his post match comments Terry Butcher said "I asked for a reaction after Tuesday night and got one from the players today. I'm happy in some respects particularly as we didn't start too well but a lot of players are disappointed at only gaining a point.”
"We had excellent belief against a team currently in the Uefa Cup and in the top three and I'm delighted at the way we went about it today.”

Probably the most significant outcome is that morale has been restored after the blunder at Forfar. We have avoided back to back SPL losses and taken something from the team in third place. The squad now know that there is life after Faddy.
Other results were not unkind.
