Motherwell Supporters Trust steps back

Invitations to the 10th Annual General Meeting of the Trust were posted to members this week and contained the news that a resolution aimed at placing the Trust in abeyance would be considered.   As the principles that guide the Society bear great similarity to those of the Trust it makes little sense for the older organisation to continue.  Everyone with an interest in increased community ownership of the club should support the Society.

The AGM has been called for Monday 29 October at 7.15pm in the Centenary Suite.  It will follow the inaugural meeting of the Society (24 October in South Dalziel Studios).

The Trust was formed when MFC was in administration  and over the last decade it has raised thousands of pounds to support a wide range of 'Well related activities as well as representing the views of fans to the club.

The bulk of its funds have been donated to the Society and is now a member - the associated benefits will be dispersed to members in a raffle.  Motherwell Community Trust has also received £1,000 in support of the girls youth team.
