The signing of Gary Bollan has finally been picked up by the media with the BBC continuing to speculate that United might be interested in a player plus cash deal for Stephen Hammell. Given that Bollan is now our player, it is hard to see how this would work! Hammell is just one of many ‘Well players out of contract in the summer and it the signing of a Bollan looks like another indicator that he will be on his way.

The Scottish Cup 4th round tie against Queen of the South will prove to be a tricky challenge  and a big travelling support from the Doonhamers is expected.  Despite earlier stories from usually reliable sources there has been no decision taken as to whether the game will be all ticke (according to the official site on Wednesday afernoon).  Let's hope common sense prevails and that a pay at the gate policy operates.

The referee for Saturday’s match at Ibrox is Craig Thompson. Rangers will be weakened by the absence of both Gavin Rae and Chris Burke who join their long term injury victims on the sidelines.
