The best memory of the new Rugby Park arguably came way back in 1996 when both sides were struggling against the drop. A wonderful hat-trick from Tommy Coyne, including a delightful chip from 35 yards for the last goal, gave us a 4-2 win and eased the relegation worries, albeit briefly.

Another high scoring success came in August 2002 when Terry Butcher's young side recorded their first win of what turned out to be a difficult campaign. Kilmarnock gave us a helping hand on the way by getting three players sent off! Dougie Ramsey opened the scoring with a long range strike but even against a weakened team we had some scary moments before Pearson's goal and a McFadden penalty sealed things late on.

We were to return for a third round cup tie on Burns Day 2003 and a very healthy Well support were to be treated to win courtesy of another spot kick from Faddy. The steep rake of the away stand affords a great view of the playing surface and Faddy ensured that we had plenty to cheer.

We had a penalty of the other end in November 2006 but lost 3-2. Foran scored from twelve yards to level the tie for the second time but Invincible won the game for the home side.

Killie are a much tougher prospect now than last season but we know another victory will really get us back in the hunt for Europe - even if it is not achieved in a manner worth remembering years from now!
