No Cash for Butcher

The sum of more than a quarter of a million which the administrator received for the transfers to Hull and Aberdeen will "go to help the funding deficit at the club" according to Bryan Jackson.

Any hopes that the fans (and the manager) had that some of the cash could be used to entice a new face or two to Fir Park were dashed when the interim administrator explained the financial side of the deal.

Terry will have to raid his contact book for a few new players to plug the gaps but there will be no transfer fee involved.

We will await with interest the starting line up which wears the claret and amber at next week's pre season friendly at Stenhousmuir.

There is no truth in the rumour that the first two 'Well fans who appear at the ground on Tuesday will be offered their choice of position in the team!
