OjamaaThe reward for his blistering start, which includes four goals in three weeks, is a chance for the 20 year old Estonian to have an extended spell in the SPL and given the long list of clubs already on his CV that’s exactly what he needs.

Speaking to the official site he said “I am delighted to get thing tied up; it was a goal of mine when I first came here to win a longer deal and it’s great it has happened so quickly.

“I would like to think it has been a reward for me not only for how things have gone, but how well the team have played as well. Working with great players at a great manager, in front of great fans, can only improve me as a player.”

There’s no doubt that fans were keen for Motherwell to sign up the striker who’s sharpshooter goal celebrations have been committed to cotton in the Motherwell Club Shop (at £15).  No doubt he’ll get a huge reception when he takes to the field against Morton on Saturday.

In fairness to our new recruit we may have to lower our expectations.  Although his appearance at Tannadice a fortnight ago turned the game and his double against St Johnstone put us on

the way to a win, it would be unfair to expect him to carry the team for the rest of the season.  We’ll have to be tolerant of the ups and downs that form part of any player’s development.
