Panic at Pittodrie?

Steve Paterson has told his staff that they will have to ‘knuckle down’ and that the the number of days off available to the players will be ‘restricted’. He has made it known that ex-‘Well favourite Eric Deloumeaux will suffer a heavy fine after his red card at the weekend. Eric will miss Saturday’s game (and probably the next two matches as well!).

This former player will not score on Saturday!

The Motherwell team have to use the onset of panic at Pittodrie as an incentive to maintain the legend of ‘Fortress Fir Park’. Still stinging after the result at Tynecastle the lads should need no further encouragement. A win will see us draw level with the Dons on points and courtesy of a superior goal difference we would be above them in the table.

There have been some entertaining encounters between the teams at Fir Park in recent years including the incredible 5-6 loss in October 1999.

There is every reason for a big claret and amber turnout this weekend. Encourage the doubters, bring along the half-hearted! Let’s get behind the ‘Well on Saturday and encourage them for ninety minutes. Let’s start moving on up.
