Of course we actually last won there in 1999 when Kevin Twaddle scored the only goal as ten men held out for a famous victory. But for a club previously accustomed to giving Celtic a run for their money, even away from home, our results since then have been disappointing. We have only managed one draw, thanks to Derek Adams' goal in 2004, at Parkhead and though we fought hard last time a 3-0 reversal suggests we have little reason to be optimistic.

A welcome for the team
We are looking fresh while enjoying the benefit of getting back into the habit of playing games again and the 4-4-2 formation employed last week worked a treat. Malcolm brings a physical presence to the midfield and if he can control his aggression he could be a vital player for us in a game like this. Equally crucial will be Hughes - when we get the ball we will look for him to keep it to ease the pressure on the defence.
One change will be made as Clarkson is suspended which presumably opens the door again for Ross McCormack. He has been off form for a while but hopefully being dropped will give him the nudge he needs to get back on track. A more interesting dilemma could exist at left back if Hammell is fit enough to challenge Lappin for the spot he took last week.
Celtic are in a strange position. On one hand they are all but out of out of the league race but on the other they are only two home wins over Rangers away from being right back in things. They will be without Brown who is suspended but the players they have are more than adequate to cause us problems. They will be very nervous though and there will be 58,000 home fans transmitting their anxiety onto the pitch. If we can weather the initial storm we will have a chance.
Sadly it is all too likely the usual flaws will hurt us. We can expect an admirable performance but ultimately we will be a little sloppy at the back and a little lax with our own chances. We will take plaudits but no points from a 2-0 defeat.
