Preview: Hamilton (h)

Losing in the League Cup was definitely a blow but Hamilton struggled to beat us despite having a man advantage for an obscenely long time. We are in much better form now and if we can keep a full complement of players on the park, there is no reason to think we shouldn't come out on top.

With Craigan likely to miss out and with McLean and Klimpl still injured, we have an interesting dilemma at the back. Quinn will surely come in - but at right back or centre half? Certainly with the contribution Lasley makes in the centre of the park and Malcolm's solid game last week, a return to his usual spot is probably likely.

We also have an interesting question out on the left wing. Clarkson may have been one of our best performers last season but his new role on the left wing simply doesn't seem to suit him. If we are intent on using a 4-4-2 surely a more natural midfielder could be used here. Fitzpatrick is an option, as is McGarry if Lasley returns to the midfield and even Jim O'Brien could be considered after impressing in Inverness.

Hamilton welcome back Mensing from suspension and although McLaughlin is probably fit enough to return to the defence, they are likely to miss Swales who was in the wars at Ibrox in midweek.

This will no doubt be a very tough game with Accies giving it everything. Our superior quality will hopefully shine through but we might have a scare on the way to a hard fought 2-1 win.

Remember the last time Hamilton were at Fir Park?
