Preview: Hibs (h)

The good news is that Quinn has completed his two match ban and can resume duties. Those who have seen Malcolm fill his shoes in the last couple of games will be delighted that our regular right back and captain is back.

I don't believe it!

Stevie Hammell had to be withdrawn during the first half in last week's game at Tannadice. The manager reported that he had a calf strain and there has been no news about his prospects for Saturday.

While Motherwell have taken only two points from the last five games, Hibs have found form and taken nine in the same spell. Three of those came earlier this month when we lost by the only goal in a closely fought contest.

Midweek doubts were expressed about the fitness of Beuzelin and Kerr but we won't be surprised if both make it. At least the inclusion of Kerr will be guaranteed to stir the home support from their slumbers. Nish will be seen as the main threat, his habit of scoring against us is becoming tiresome.

There is one random factor which might have an influence on the outcome. Both teams have earned a reputation for fast, passing football and if the repair work on the pitch has left the surface bumpy and uneven then the result might be determined by desire rather than skill. Home advantage might just be enough to get us back on track following a 2-1 win.
