Preview - Inverness (a)

With six games left until the split both teams will be well aware of the importance of this game. There is every reason to suppose that a highly competitive encounter is likely. We can only hope that the weather relents and that the fixture can go ahead as scheduled.

Last visit in the sunshine

It is difficult to see Terry making any change to the outfield line up. His argument over the last few games is that we have played well and that we just need a break or two in front of goals. Still, the winter break signings McGarry and Thermeus will be hoping for some involvement and if there is no sign of a breakthrough we can expect one or other to be thrown on in the hope that the game can be won. We cannot settle for a draw away from home on this occasion.

News of Graeme Smith is thin on the ground but with any luck we will see him return between the sticks. Meldrum’s appearances this season have not had rave reviews and the back four seem to react well to the unique tones of Buzz as he yells instructions.

ICT are far more comfortable away from home. They have won only three of the fifteen SPL games at the Caledonian Stadium and a very respectable six from fourteen on the road. This stat could provide a glimpse of hope and it might be that a 2-0 win for Motherwell could reactivate our season.
