Preview -- Livingston (h)

Our recent spate of injuries meant that for many games the choice of personnel was very limited and there may have to be some tricky options to consider.

Livi brought the usual support

Terry is reported on the official site saying, “Corrigan, Fitzpatrick and Paterson all played in the reserved this week, and Hamilton and Kinniburgh trained this week and are all in the squad for Saturday’s game with Livingston.”

A home game against luckless Livi should bring a certain three points. They have not scored away from Almondvale in this season’s campaign and have only gathered one point on their travels. The desperate sight of Lambert pulling on his boots for one last hurrah can give nothing but confidence to the opposition and McDonald and Clarkson must relish the chance of turning a defensive midfielder inside out.

Unfortunately there might be one small flaw in the plan. We have a well known tendency to collapse when deserving causes appear at our door and many in the home stands will expect our generosity to continue at the weekend. We face three away fixtures after this game and a defeat would do little to instil confidence for the hard run ahead.

Maybe we’ll break the bad habit on this occasion – 2-0 to the ‘Well.
