Preview: Dundee (h) Cup R5

Captain Quinn is suspended following bookings in both games against Hearts in the previous round and Lasley and Craigan need to be mindful that they have also seen yellow in this season's competition. That could result in a rare start for Brian McLean in the right back position.

Hammell got his start on Saturday and already looks like a first eleven pick while Lappin was given the last fifteen minutes. He looks like another smart signing and it would be no surprise if he were to be given the nod over Fitzpatrick.

Porter was not on the bench on Saturday and it might be that he is rested for another week bearing in mind that we are limited to five substitutes in the cup.

Dundee are second in the First Division at the moment despite not winning any of their five SFL outings this year. They will be a tough team to break down. We have found this type of match very hard in the past and our record at home against lower league sides has not been wonderful.

Antoine-Curier (who scored their goal at
Livingston this weekend) signed on loan for Hibs on deadline day but will be cup-tied for this contest.

This has the potential to be a very difficult match but if you want to progress in the cup this is the type of game that must be won. If we can get through this contest we will be odds on favourites to progress to the semi finals but we cannot take our eyes off the next hurdle and that is beating Dundee.

If we can find the same flowing attacking style which pinned
Kilmarnock back for most of the last game them we should win by a comfortable 3-0 margin.
