Preview: Hearts (a)

It has to be said that our overall record at Tynecastle and our record in the last 20 opening fixtures are equally abysmal.

But while other clubs have been signing players left, right and centre, neither Motherwell nor Hearts have made any real moves in the transfer market.

That means there is no need for much speculation about the line-ups as we will field 11 players who proved last season they were a lot better than their 11 players.

Of course things can change. Their new manager seems to have given them a real boost and in Berra, Driver and Kingston they have three players of definite quality.

We are not lacking quality ourselves though and Chris Porter will feel hopeful of adding to the three goals he notched in Gorgie last term.

This game will definitely not be easy and we will need to give everything if we are to come out on top.

If you can't be optimistic at the start of the season, when can you be hopeful? 2-0 to the 'Well.
