Preview: Rangers (h)

Motherwell have not managed to beat Rangers at Fir Park since McFadden's goal on Boxing Day 2002 gave us a 1-0 win. Our chances of taking points from the league leaders got a boost in midweek when we turned on the style against Hibs.

The deserved praise heaped on the team for the manner of Wednesday's win was fully justified. Reporters and fans from both ends of the ground were delighted at the attacking flair on show by the Mighty 'Well. If we can keep up the momentum then the 6/1 odds on offer at the bookies would seem to provide excellent value.

There's no reason to expect any change in the starting line up. McGhee seems to have discovered his strongest eleven and with confidence high we can expect that our 433 formation will be thrown against the Rangers defence.

The visitors will be aware of their Champion's League trip to Lyon next week but the size of their squad will ensure that we face a formidable task in order to take something from the game.

Cooper Stand regulars have been moved for this game so the away fans will be behind both goals. $etanta will be providing live coverage. What better time to show off our improved form. Given the superb midweek performance it would be churlish to suggest anything but a win for Motherwell - 3-2 should do nicely!
