Quick Update

The official site is reporting that the work on giving us a playable pitch which will also meet the SPL need to undersoil heating. As was noticed elsewhere, the officials at Fir Park are living in the past somewhat - check the date at the bottom photo!

Keith saying goodbye?
There is no firm news on the signing front but needless to say rumours are flying. It seems increasingly likely that Keith Lasley will be heading south to further his career - well at least it's not Aberdeen. On the incoming front, St Johnstone are trying to sign Craig Easton, a player many thought would be a useful addition for us. Maurice Malpas worked with Craig, an Airdrie fan, at Tannadice so that might give us an edge if we do decide to move for him.

The first couple of pre-season friendlies have been announced and it is not unfair to say that they are rather uninspiring. We play St Mirren at Love Street on July 24 and we go to Ochilview (again!) to take on Stenhousemuir on July 27. We all know money is still tight at the club but surely a wee tour somewhere would not be out of the question! The opening game of the season has not yet been confirmed.

Look out for the FPC end of season review coming this weekend!
