Red Card Appeal Fails

Stuart Dougal interpreted the Frenchman’s actions as being those of a head butt and accordingly Thermeus was sent to the early bath. He had been on the field for only fifteen minutes, making his SPL debut as a substitute for Jim Hamilton after 68 minutes.

The SFA’a video review panel met on Wednesday and came to the conclusion that they could not overturn the decision of the match officials.

There was some surprise at the instant dismissal. The Kilmarnock manager said after the match that he felt the decision was “a bit harsh”.


This was Motherwell’s first red card of the season.
