Smith To Join From Rangers?

Smith has been unable to displace any of the big name keepers in Govan and recently had a loan spell with Ross County. He celebrated his twenty second birthday at the start of the month and is six foot and an inch tall.

Did BJ talk himself out of a contract?
Terry Butcher was quoted in the Evening Times this week saying, "He will have his medical and be with us by the end of the week. He is a great addition to the squad and will give Gordon Marshall competition." His aim will be to replace Marshall. That will not be easy. Gordon had thirty nine games last season and, despite a few high profile dips, contributed much to our excellent form over the year. But the harsh reality is that our elder statesman will struggle to earn the number one jersey for a further season and Smith must have an eye on being his replacement.

Corr has now joined Stranraer after writing his ticket with his demand for a regular first team start.
