Stranraer Tickets on Sale
Updated Tuesday, 11th March 2003
A strange and unusual event took place in Fir Park Street on Monday. At lunchtime football fans started queuing to buy tickets for the forthcoming cup tie against Stranraer.
A fortnight after the draw saw the arrival of match day tickets at the Chapman Building and a congregation of ‘Well supporters, season ticket vouchers in hand, ready to snap them up. There was talk of the huge line that waited patiently for final tickets in ’91 (and no doubt a few considered the possibility of queuing for final briefs in May 2003!).
A cup tie ticket
The club is arranging transport for a nominal £2 fee and fans wishing to take advantage of the offer should make it known when purchasing their ticket.
But an anxious week lies ahead for the many fans that do not hold season ticket books. Will there be tickets left for a general sale?
One way of securing a guaranteed place at Stair Park is to take advantage of the £65 Hospitality Package which includes match ticket, brunch at Fir Park and transport.
Tickets for the match against Rangers at Ibrox on Wednesday 19 March are also on sale. However the interest in these £19 tickets is poor. The ‘Well have three consecutive away games ahead (the third at East End Park on 5 April) and it looks like the regular awayday fans will skip the trip to Govan.
